OSW Football Wins Big

Westbrook members of the OSW football squad are pictured here with coach McCray as they celebrate receiving the trophy  for their 35-0 win over Morgan at the Thanksgiving day game.

Author and WHS Grad Speaks

On Friday October 31, author Tom Hazuka, visited Westbrook High School Library Media Center to discuss his newest novel Last Chance for First, and also his writing background.

English teachers Mrs. Kathy Womer-Zocco, Mr. Craig Hall, and Miss Caitlin Eichler brought their classes to listen to Tom.  Students were given the opportunity to ask questions, especially those pertaining to English.  Tom Hazuka is a former Westbrook resident and currently teaches fiction writing at Central Connecticut State University.  Last Chance for First is loosely based on his experiences at Westbrook High School as a former student and soccer player.
