PTSO DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the PTSO is to develop a strong union and open the line of communication between teachers, parents, students and the community.

We would like to encourage parents, teachers and students to be active in the PTSO.  All of your opinions are important.

HISTORY:

The WHS PTSO has sponsored leadership workshops for students, assemblies, and guest speakers for students and parents. We have continued to provide hospitality for teachers, have donated money toward various items for the school, and have provided PTSO scholarships for graduating seniors who best exemplify the spirit of Westbrook High School. 

ACTIVITIES:

The following is a list of events that the PTSO typically sponsors or supports each year:

Health Day/Career Day (alternating from year to year in the Fall)

Teacher Appreciation Day (Spring)

Class Breakfasts (one for each class during the school year)

Fundraisers (e.g. Prom Expo,  Game Night)

Hospitality for teachers and staff (several times throughout the year)
