Westbrook High School

China Sister School

As a part of the partnership between Connecticut and China's Shandong Province, schools have begun forming sister school arrangements with schools in the province.  Westbrook High School's sister school is Quinzhou Experimental Middle School in Quinzhou City, Shandong Province, China.  The school has 3800 students and encompasses the equivalent of our grades 10-12. Quinzhou is a city of about 90,000 and includes a metroplitan area as well as farmland.

In April of 2005 Mrs. Roberta Fulton and Mrs. Marilyn Toth, French and Art teachers respectively, visisted the school to initiate the sister school relationship.  In April 2006 Principal, Robert Hale visisted the school to further cement the relationship and to talk about what activities might be possible through our relationship for the mutual benefit of both schools.
