Vision Statement

In the Westbrook Public Schools, students are given the opportunity to achieve at the highest level possible through a variety of hands-on and real-life learning experiences that meet their individual needs and use the most current resources.  Teachers are empowered to share ideas, collaborate, and reflect on their practice in an atomosphere where they feel valued. We believe that continuous and open collaboration creates an environment that encourages life-long learning for all members of the school community.

2009-2012 Goals

1.  Promote high academic achievement.

2.  Advocate for education through effective  communication between the community and the schools.

3.  Recruit, develop, support, and retain outstanding personnel.

4.  Develop students’ skills for healthy, productive, and fulfilling lives.

5.  Provide an appropriate environment and the resources, technology, and facilities to support the district’s goals and initiatives.
