The State of CT has implemented a notification system, commonly known as ‘reverse 911’. Our local Valley Shore Dispatch Center now has the capability of notifying residents of any type of emergency.  This is only possible, however, if everyone creates an account on the CT Alert ENS system. You can choose to be notified via your cell phone, a text message, and/or email. You can also list alternate phone numbers.  Additionally, the system will  allow you to add secondary locations.  For example, if you live, work, or have loved ones in another town, if the system is activated for an incident in that town, you would be notified.
